"The churches of Christ salute you." (Romans 16:16)

Who We Are

Who We Are

  • We are a mission point in Georgia.
  • We are supported by several congregations and individuals.
  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God 2 Timothy 3:16-17
  • We are a Bible believing group of people that meets upon the first day of the week to worship God. In our worship, which is to be done is spirit and truth (John 4:23-24),
    • We sing songs without the accompany of mechanical instruments of music (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).
    • We pray (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
    • We partake of the Lord’s Supper every first day of the week (Acts 20:7).
    • We give of our income (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).
    • We have preaching (Acts 20:7).
  • Our singing is done without mechanical instruments of music. The Bible says we are to sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord. The giving and the Lord’s Supper are done on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2).
  • The church began here in Gray in 2003 with Glenn Schliber being the first preacher. He worked with the church until 2012 when he retired.
  • The church of Christ had her beginning on the first Pentecost after the Resurrection of our Lord. This was prophesied in Isaiah 2:2-3; Daniel 2:44; Joel 2:28-32. Jesus talked about when the church or kingdom would be established. Some of them standing with Jesus would see it come to pass (Mark 9:1). Jesus told them what to preach on that day (Luke 24:48-49).
