Man sinned (Genesis 3) which separated man from God (Isaiah 59:1-2).
When man sinned God implemented His plan to save man (Ephesians 1:4).
We are saved by the grace of God and it is through faith (Ephesians 2:8).
There is something man must do to be saved. The question is asked and men and women are told what they must do to be saved.
- They are told to believe (Acts 16:31; Hebrews 11:6).
- Man is told to repent (Luke 13:3,5; Acts 17:30-31).
- Man is told to confess that Jesus is the Christ (Romans 10:9-10; Acts 8:37).
- Man is told to be immersed in water to contact the blood of Jesus to have his sins washed away (Acts 22:16; Revelation 1:5; Romans 6:1-4). This is for the purpose of having sins go into remission (Acts 2:38). Baptism does save (1 Peter 3:21).
