- John 8:
- Seven times in the book of John there is the emphasis used by Jesus stating that He was the I am, Greek ego eimi
- John 6:35, 41, 48, 51 I am the bread of life
- John 8:12 I am the light of the world
- John 10:7 I am the door
- John 10:11 I am the good shepherd
- John 11:25 I am the resurrection
- John 14:6 I am the way…
- John 15:5 I am the true vine
- We want to notice the use of ego eimi in John 8
II Discussion
- The Background for these I am is found in Exodus 3:14
- Jesus brought forth important information, are we listening
- Jesus using the I am means He is the sole avenue of heaven and eternity
- Religion is not about us it is about God John 12:32
